About KDI

Djurgården

can become even better through cooperation

A lot is happening on Djurgården and many new events are being planned. The individual attractions’ offerings and quality is being strengthened through ongoing and planned new investments such as those at the Gröna Lund amusement park, Skansen, Cirkus, the Aquaria Water Museum and the Vasa Museum. A modern streetcar line connection with Stockholm City and Värtan can become a reality, and there are plans for the renovation of parks and roads and much more.

KDI’s ambition is to participate in strengthening Djurgården’s position in the overall image of Stockholm through cooperation, and through joint action, knowledge about the value of Djurgården will increase. Djurgården will become stronger, and through that, so will the position of Stockholm and Sweden within the tourism industry.

Several examples of KDI’s work...

A good reception

Visitors’ impressions of their visits to Djurgården are essential for a positive experience. Planning is underway for a joint visitors’ centre with information, ticket sales and much more.

Environment

KDI is cooperating closely with Kungliga Djurgårdens Förvaltning (The Royal Djurgården Administration), KDF, for improvements in the mutually shared environment. The special feeling associated with Djurgården is being strengthened through many different resources with everything from signing, lighting, and park benches to comprehensive renovations of parks and roads.

Traffic

Marketing, PR

KDI’s members work individually in their own markets. Through KDI, and together with the Stockholm Visitors Board, the collective tourist attractions on Djurgården are becoming more well-known and easily accessible to visitors.

KDI carries out joint PR activities aimed at the tourism industry in Stockholm. KDI also has a continual dialogue in regard to issues related to Djurgården together with decision-makers at both the political level and employee level in Stockholm and the region.
